Day 24. Yellowstone, WY

It was a cold morning and we set off quite early before the sun had risen far enough to warm us up. We left Jackson and before we knew it were riding towards the Tetons

We continued on and within the hour were lining up to get into Yellowstone National Park.

We were early enough that there really wasn't any line to get in and off we set. In very short order we had our first wildlife encounter!
This guy was literally a stones throw away. Thankfully too intent on his breakfast to be much bothered by us.

We arrived at Old Faithful just in time to grab a cup of coffee and to see the eruption

Then, as we continued on our way, we had more wildlife encounters; seeing this Elk doe

and this large herd;
Just amazing and we feel very privileged to enjoy these encounters.

It was a truly spectacular day. The fall colors are visible and there is a chill in the air - perfect!
