Day 3. Back in the USA

After yesterday's on / off game with the rain gear today was a day of layering up and de-layering. We were happy to see partly sunny skies when we got up and after a hasty breakfast at our hotel we hit the road. The temperature first thing was only 58 degrees! Unthinkingly we set off without putting on enough layers and before long we were both freezing. Oh well, it was a good excuse to stop at a Tim Hortons for coffee! After that it was on with our heated gear - jackets and gloves that plug into the bike's 12v system and heat up in no time.

Today was a long day on the road - all about making tracks and not much else, so no interesting photos today. We travelled along Highway 17 heading East through Ontario. It's a great route and very scenic so we enjoyed the ride.

We arrived in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and crossed the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge and without any trouble we were back in the US. Our trusty GPS's guided us to our lovely motel and we are tucked up for the night. It was a long day!

Miles for the day: 412.  Trip mileage: 938.

Our progress so far.
